JAI® APEX Series 3-Sensor Cameras are a range of 3-CMOS area scan cameras that provide better color fidelity and spatial precision than traditional Bayer color cameras. Utilizing a prism at the camera input, the incoming light is separated into red, green, and blue wavelengths which are each directed to separate red, green, and blue image sensors. These sensors deliver true red, green, and blue color outputs for more accurate per-pixel color values, steeper spectral curves, and sharper resolution. JAI® APEX Series 3-Sensor Cameras are available in 1.6 or 3.2 megapixel resolutions with USB or Gigabit Ethernet (GigE) outputs, and also available in a white housing with USB output that offers strict production screening and preventative measures to minimize dust, lint, or debris on the prism, sensor, or in the optical path for clinical environments and life science applications. These cameras are ideal for a range of medical and laboratory applications such as fluorescence microscopy, digital pathology, ophthalmology, endoscopy, surgical imaging, and medical quality inspection.
